Job summary

Burlington Stores is seeking a Maintenance Lead Technician to ensure high equipment availability in a distribution center environment. You will troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems on conveyors, robotics, AS/RS, and control panels, while guiding junior technicians and coordinating with peers for emergency repairs.

You will develop work plans, validate contractor work, and use mobile apps to document labor, downtime, causes, and parts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 4+ years’ experience in Mechanical or Electrical maintenance in a distribution center environment.
• Possess or ability to obtain a valid driver’s license.
• Excellent PC competency and ability to use mobile apps on handheld devices.
• Familiar with wiring diagrams, symbols and electrical measuring.
• Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance procedures.
• Experience with industrial tools, basic carpentry/plumbing, and metal fabrication/welding.
• Knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, robot maintenance, and NEC/MHE safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot electrical/mechanical aspects of MHE (conveyors, sortation, robotics, ASRS).
• Control positioning accuracy and timing; adjust scanners, cameras, scales, and printer applicators.
• Repair or replace belts, chains, cables, guides, bearings, wheels, rollers, pulleys.
• Clean, lubricate, and calibrate equipment; follow safety procedures and PPE requirements.
• Troubleshoot PLC programs, CPU backplanes, I/O boards, field buses, and Ethernet modules.
• Configure PLC parameters and component setup; conduct higher-level robot maintenance.
• Develop work plans with peers for emergency repairs of critical assets.
• Use handheld devices to create/close Work Orders with labor hours, downtime, and parts data.
• Collaborate across the organization to drive quality and safety improvements.
• Travel to nearby facilities to procure parts and support maintenance activities.
