Job summary

GLY Construction seeks an experienced MEP Specialist to lead and coordinate MEPF systems across projects, mentor engineers, and ensure seamless field execution. You will work with design consultants, trade partners, and field leadership to plan, coordinate, and deliver high-quality outcomes.

Responsibilities include lead constructability reviews, procurement planning, and resolving complex coordination challenges while upholding GLY’s culture and values.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• 6–8 years of progressively responsible experience in commercial construction with MEP coordination, constructability reviews, procurement, QA/QC, and project execution.
• Experience working for a general contractor, major mechanical/electrical contractor, or engineering firm supporting commercial construction projects.
• Demonstrated experience leading MEP coordination efforts, managing subcontractors, facilitating coordination meetings, and mentoring Project Engineers.
• Experience with BIM/VDC coordination, commissioning, and project closeout preferred.
• Strong communication, leadership, and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors, consultants, and GLY team members.
• Lead a team to navigate project challenges through communication, leadership, and a positive attitude.
• Ensure GLY workflows and processes are followed, delivering high-quality client experiences.
• Monitor field quality through GLY's QA/QC program.
• Mentor Project Engineers in construction management best practices and GLY values.
• Coordinate scope among trades and review for consistency and completeness.
• Review drawings for contract compliance and coordination with building systems.
• Support preconstruction activities including RFPs, buyout, procurement planning, and schedule analysis.
• Oversee MEP coordination schedules and clash detection coordination.
• Manage contracts, change orders, and project cost tracking.
