Job summary

KinderCare in Illinois is seeking a dedicated Lead Teacher to guide a classroom team and model best practices for early childhood education. You will implement the KinderCare curriculum, create a safe, nurturing environment, and partner with families to support each child's growth while collaborating with center staff to meet enrollment and accreditation goals.

Qualifications include a CDA or pursuing NAEYC candidacy, 2–3 years ECE experience, and a Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education

Qualifications

• Outstanding customer service and organizational skills required.
• Active CDA Credential or pursuing NAEYC candidacy required.
• Approved state trainer preferred.
• 2–3 years Early Childhood Education experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education preferred.
• Meet state-specific qualifications or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and mentor less experienced teachers in your classroom; model behaviors and provide feedback.
• Implement KinderCare's curriculum in a way that is consistent with the unique needs of each child.
• Create a safe, nurturing environment where children can play and learn.
• Partner and connect with parents, with a shared desire to provide the best care and education for their children.
• Support your center’s success; partner with center staff and leadership to achieve goals around enrollment, accreditation, and engagement.
• Culture relationships with families, teachers, state licensing authorities, community contacts and corporate partners.
