Job summary

Parkland Community Health Plan in Dallas seeks a Senior Medical Practice Assistant to lead Medical Practice Assistants, streamline patient flow, and support the clinical team with data collection and routine office functions. You will train staff, monitor performance indicators, and coordinate clinical operations while ensuring high patient satisfaction and adherence to policies.

This role requires strong communication, proficiency with medical terminology, and experience in virtual care as well

Qualifications

• Five years of customer service experience, preferably in healthcare.
• Two years of Medical Practice environment experience.
• Patient registration experience preferred.
• Coursework toward accredited medical terminology program preferred.
• Medical Office Assistant experience or training is a plus.
• Virtual care/telehealth support experience (2 years) if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Lead workers for Medical Practice Assistants including training, scheduling, and reporting.
• Act as supervisor when needed, including weekends or holidays.
• Provide preceptorship and staff training on guideline changes.
• Coordinate operational activities to support clinical operations.
• Assist with patient intake, inquiries, and assessment of needs.
• Perform Medical Practice Assistant duties in coordination with the clinical team.
