Job summary

Kennedy Medical Group, Practice, PC in Cherry Hill, NJ is seeking a Lead Medical Assistant to mentor and lead day-to-day operations. The role includes assisting patients, performing EKGs, phlebotomy, injections, and vitals, while ensuring clinical quality and compliance.

You will work closely with physicians, escort patients, document vitals, and support IT systems; experience with medical office procedures and strong communication are required. This is a full-time position in a clinical setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• 2 years Medical Assistant experience.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Familiarity with medical office procedures.
• Customer Interaction: communicating with customers.
• Medical Equipment: knowledge of common medical devices.
• Health Information Documentation: recording medical histories, vitals, diagnoses, etc.
• Clinical Skills: history taking, treatment planning, monitoring.
• Clinical Performance Improvement: quality patient care factors.
• BLS - Basic Life Support (AHA).
• CMA - Certified Medical Assistant (AAMA).

Responsibilities

• Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff respecting Jefferson values.
• Mentor and train other Medical Assistants; assist in daily operations and performance evaluations.
• Escort patients to exam rooms and verify identification.
• Record vital signs and medical histories; ensure care quality measures.
• Maintain IT system documentation within scope of practice.
• Assist physicians with examinations and procedures, including EKG and venipuncture.
• Comply with HIPAA privacy and security rules.
• Order clinical supplies to support office operations.
