Kennedy University Hospitals, Inc in Cherry Hill, NJ is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians with examinations, diagnostics and patient care in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

Responsibilities include taking vital signs, assisting with EKGs and venipuncture, managing patient flow, documenting in IT systems and ensuring HIPAA compliance; HS diploma and MA certification within 6 months are required, with BLS within 90 days. Healthcare benefits offered.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical Assistant Certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association within 90 days of hire.
• BLS through Red Cross may be acceptable at some Pennsylvania locations.
• Experience in physician office or healthcare setting preferred.
• NJ-specific: graduate from an accredited post-secondary medical assisting program (330+ hours) including injections.
• Internal Einstein applicants: MA certification not required if hire date before 7/1/2024 when transferring within Einstein.

Responsibilities

• Interacts with coworkers, visitors and staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.
• Escorts patients to exam rooms and ensures proper identification.
• Performs and documents vital signs and medical history information.
• Assists physicians with examinations and diagnostic procedures including EKG and venipuncture/injections.
• Maintains HIPAA privacy and security requirements.
• Orders clinical supplies to maintain inventory and smooth operations.
