Job summary

Kennedy Medical Group, Practice, PC in Sewell, NJ seeks a Medical Assistant to support physicians with examinations and diagnostic procedures, manage patient flow, and assist with EKGs, phlebotomy, injections, and vital signs. You will liaise with physicians to ensure patient satisfaction and maintain supplies for the clinic.

The role requires a NJ post-secondary medical assisting program (330 hours) and CMA certification within 180 days, plus excellent communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate from NJ post-secondary medical assisting program (330 hrs).
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Familiarity with medical office procedures.
• Knowledge of HIPAA privacy and security requirements.
• CMA certification within 180 days.

Responsibilities

• Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff per Jefferson values.
• Escorts patients to exam rooms and ensures proper identification.
• Performs and documents vital signs, medical histories and clinical care.
• Maintain and document documentation in IT systems within scope of practice.
• Assists physicians with examinations and various diagnostic procedures (EKG/venipuncture).
• Adheres to HIPAA privacy and security requirements.
• Orders and maintains clinical supplies to ensure smooth operations.
