Job summary

UK King's Daughters is seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to provide daily care to high acuity patient populations and support clinic operations as a lead for other MA staff.

You will orient and train new staff, help develop programs to enhance unlicensed personnel, and participate in initiatives to improve clinical outcomes and patient care quality. Strong teamwork and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in a healthcare/clinical setting.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), NCMA, BLS certification.
• All experience must be paid and in the same field.

Responsibilities

• Checks in/out patients, schedules tests and procedures, and verifies insurance coverage.
• Prepares charts, enters charges, completes paperwork, and maintains medical records.
• Gathers health history, vital signs, and other data; administers medications within certification.
• Responds to patient calls and communicates with clinical staff and providers.
• Assists in training new staff and participates in process improvement initiatives.
