Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health seeks a Clinical Nurse II to lead a Care Delivery Team and coordinate nursing care for a specific group of patients. The CN II will show clinical competency, leadership, and oversee assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient needs.

The role includes precepting new staff and a focus on effective communication with patients and peers; orientation and ongoing CE are required. This is a full-time position in the Mercy system.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a state-accredited school of nursing.
• Current licensure from the state of Ohio as an RN.
• Successful completion of general and unit-specific orientation and hospital probationary period.
• Obtains/maintains a minimum of 12 contact hours of continuing education annually which includes Fire Safety and CPR Re-Certification.
• ACLS is required.

Responsibilities

• Directs care for a team of patients as part of the Care Delivery Team.
• Precepts new employees as assigned and demonstrates nursing leadership.
• Coordinates nursing care including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation across patient needs.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, and staff.
