Job summary

HCA Florida Citrus Hospital is seeking a Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care and coordinate unit operations across shifts. You will direct, monitor, and evaluate nursing care while serving as a resource to staff and aligning with our mission and values to deliver exceptional clinical outcomes.

The CNC collaborates with the management team to improve throughput, quality, and staff engagement.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• (RN) Registered Nurse
• Associate Degree
• No Travel Required
• 1 year(s) experience required

Responsibilities

• Assists with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high quality, patient-centered care
• Participates in the ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services in the unit, in collaboration with the management team
• Collaborates with subject matter experts and managers to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes
• Supports a patient-first philosophy and engages in service recovery when necessary
• Operates nursing strategies including employee rounding and hourly rounds to boost engagement
• Provides recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff, and implements actions for development and performance
• Assists with staff scheduling and manages labor in line with patient care needs and productivity guidelines
• Supports inventory control and assists with supplies and equipment management
