Job summary

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• RN license required
• Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma
• OR experience required

Responsibilities

• Assists with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high quality, patient-centered care.
• Participates in ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services in the unit, in collaboration with the management team.
• Collaborates with subject matter experts and managers to foster teamwork and improve outcomes.
• Supports a patient-first philosophy and engages in service recovery when necessary.
• Supports nursing strategies to improve engagement (e.g., rounds, hourly rounds).
• Provides recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff; supports training and development.
• Assists with staff scheduling and manages labor in line with patient care needs and productivity guidelines.
• Supports inventory control and helps manage supplies and equipment.
