Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare Kingwood is seeking a Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care across shifts. You will direct nursing care in collaboration with the management team, serving as a resource for staff and supporting organizational values to deliver an outstanding patient experience.

Primary duties include admissions/discharges, care quality assessment, staff training, and scheduling.

Qualifications

• BCLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date.
• RN license in Texas (or compact license) is required.
• Bachelor degree required.
• 2+ years RN experience in an acute hospital Med-Surg setting required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with admission and discharge to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality care.
• Monitor and evaluate nursing care in collaboration with management.
• Collaborate with managers to foster teamwork and improved outcomes.
• Support a patient-first philosophy and service recovery when needed.
• Operationalize nursing strategies to improve staff engagement and rounds.
• Participate in interviewing, selecting, and training of new staff, and support performance evaluations and disciplinary actions as needed.
• Assist with staff scheduling and ensure labor aligns with patient care needs.
• Support inventory control and management of supplies and equipment.
