Job summary

Preston Recruitment is seeking an experienced Mechanical Superintendent to join a leading mechanical contractor on a major hyperscale data center project in Virginia. You will lead day-to-day on-site delivery of all mechanical construction activities, coordinating field teams, subcontractors and project stakeholders to ensure safety, quality and schedule adherence.

Working with Project Management and other trades, you will drive productivity, plan manpower and sequencing, resolve field issues,

Qualifications

• Experience leading on-site mechanical construction in data centers.
• Proven ability to manage subcontractors and field teams.
• Strong knowledge of drawings, specifications and quality requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily mechanical construction activities across the project.
• Manage mechanical foremen, subcontractors and field personnel.
• Plan manpower, equipment, materials and installation sequencing.
• Drive site safety, quality, productivity and schedule performance.
• Monitor project progress and maintain key programme milestones.
• Coordinate mechanical installations alongside other trades.
• Identify and resolve field issues before they impact delivery.
• Support system testing, commissioning, punch-list and closeout.
