Job summary

Gapp Search seeks a Mechanical Superintendent to lead field teams on data center projects. The role coordinates systems, people and access, ensuring commissioning readiness and safe, efficient execution.

You will manage pressure testing, startup, controls integration, and coordination across HVAC, piping and related systems, driving crews and subcontractors toward the master schedule while upholding quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in trade with crew leadership experience.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and specs.
• Experience with startup, testing, and commissioning interfaces.
• Strong planning and communication skills.
• Procore and Bluebeam familiarity is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Drive pressure testing, flushing, startup, controls integration, TAB and commissioning readiness
• Maintain quality standards through first-work reviews, inspections and punch management
• Keep field production safe and organized through pre-task planning, housekeeping and active supervision
• Track deliveries and prefabrication so crews have the right material when the area is ready
• Document manpower, progress, constraints and decisions in accurate daily reporting
• Develop foremen and assistant superintendents and create clear accountability for area ownership
• Lead mechanical field execution across HVAC, piping, plumbing and related systems applicable to the project
• Plan manpower, equipment, material and access around the master schedule and near-term field constraints
