Senior MEP Superintendent – Data Center Construction

Job summary

Giga Energy is seeking an experienced MEP Superintendent to lead mechanical, electrical, and plumbing construction at a live data center site. You will coordinate MEP subcontractors, ensure installations across switchgear, UPS, and CRAH/CRAC systems meet schedule and specs, and catch clashes before delays occur.

You will work directly with the Project Director and commissioning team to ensure field work is clean, tested, and ready for IST, with a strong emphasis on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in MEP construction with field leadership experience such as a superintendent or equivalent.
• Experience running MEP scopes on large-scale industrial, utility, or mission-critical facility projects.
• Strong knowledge of MV/HV electrical systems, switchgear, UPS, and CRAH/CRAC systems.
• Ability to read and interpret single-line diagrams, P&IDs, and MEP specifications.
• OSHA 30 certification.
• Proven ability to manage subcontractors across multiple trades and hold them accountable to schedule and quality.
• Strong communication skills to coordinate across trades, commissioning teams, engineers, and project leadership.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day MEP construction activities across electrical, mechanical, and plumbing scopes.
• Coordinate and direct MEP subcontractors to maintain sequence and schedule.
• Review field compliance with single-line diagrams, P&IDs, and MEP specifications.
• Enforce safety standards including LOTO procedures on site.
• Coordinate with commissioning teams to prepare systems for FATs, FPTs, and IST.
• Manage trade stacking and sequencing to avoid clashes among trades.
• Maintain daily logs and flag delays or risks early.
• Inspect ongoing work for code compliance and quality standards.
