Job summary

Vertical Mechanical Group (VMG) is seeking a Mechanical Project Manager to lead delivery of large-scale HVAC and plumbing projects. Based in Reston, VA, you will oversee multidisciplinary teams and coordinate with clients, architects, and subcontractors to ensure on-time, on-budget performance.

The role requires 5+ years of PM experience in commercial construction, strong MEP knowledge, and proficiency with Procore, MS Project, and BPM tools.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of PM experience in commercial construction or MEP contracting
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and MEP systems
• Experience managing projects from $2M to $50M+
• Proven ability to lead multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, Primavera P6, or similar tools
• Bachelor's degree in CM, Engineering, or related field preferred
• Willingness to travel to project sites (30–40% of role)

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical project delivery from conception to completion
• Coordinate HVAC, plumbing and MEP disciplines across sites
• Manage schedules, budgets, procurement and contracts
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to ensure quality and on-time delivery
