Job summary

Southland Industries seeks an experienced engineer to lead, evaluate, design, and engineer projects and systems to specification on design/build and rehabilitation projects. You will provide ongoing technical guidance and resolve engineering issues, mentor junior staff, and write technical narratives for RFIs.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, a PE license, and at least 5 years of experience with fire suppression, HVAC, and plumbing systems.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field is required.
PE License is required.
Minimum 5 years of experience in engineering design and project execution.
Strong knowledge of fire suppression, HVAC, plumbing systems.

Responsibilities

Lead and engineer projects from design to implementation.
Perform complex calculations and prepare drawings/specifications for HVAC, plumbing, or fire protection systems.
Develop standards, methods, and procedures for reviewing designs.
Mentor and direct workflow of less-experienced engineers.
