Job summary

Clark Construction Group is seeking a Mechanical Foreman to oversee daily activities of a mechanical crew on-site in Richmond, VA. You will ensure safe, on-schedule installations, repairs, and maintenance in line with project specs and company standards.

The role requires strong leadership, ability to read drawings, and hands-on pipe fitting with strict adherence to safety policies. Mentoring the crew and coordinating with supervisors are key responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Excellent safety awareness and ability to follow instructions.
• Ability to read labels, safety warnings, and schematics.
• Experience reading pipe shop drawings, mechanical drawings, and P&ID’s.

Responsibilities

• Selects type and size of pipe and related materials and equipment according to job specifications.
• Assists foreman in planning installation sequence to avoid obstructions.
• Cuts pipe using pipe cutter, saws, and power tools.
• Threads pipe using threading machine.
• Rigging and signaling loads as required.
• Set and align pumps and blowers. Conduct field layout and calculate fittings.
• Lead a crew of 3-8 employees in safe, productive execution.
• Track crew hours and phase timesheets.
