Roseburg Forest Products in Oregon seeks a Maintenance Manager to lead a 24/7 mechanical and electrical maintenance organization. You will oversee preventive/predictive programs, manage the budget, and partner with engineering on improvements while championing safety and Roseburg core values.

This role requires strong leadership, budgeting, and problem-solving skills to sustain operations across our wood-products facilities.

Responsibilities

Job description

The maintenance manager is responsible for the management and coordination of all mechanical and electrical work in the facility. Lead in the execution of preventive and predictive maintenance programs and inventory tracking procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the maintenance team and provide support in a 24/7 operating environment.
• Ensure safety of all team members and contractors working in the plant or department by driving continuous improvement. This includes supporting all corporate safety programs; developing SOP’s, identifying and eliminating hazards, and enforcing all safety rules & regulations
• Ensure compliance with all standards and programs (safety, environmental, quality, maintenance and manufacturing policies and procedures) within area of responsibility
• Forecast, develop, and manage the maintenance budget
• Champion the utilization of EAM in their areas of responsibility
• Work cooperatively with other departments to meet plant objectives, diagnose complex equipment problems, meet plant goals and manage department budget
• Manage and oversee parts and inventory stores
• Work closely with engineering on developing plans for improvements
• Lead the Capex justification and approval process for the plant
• Initiate & lead in process improvement, cost reduction and capital project programs
• Work closely with internal and external customers to accomplish plant objectives
• Perform other duties as necessary

Required Qualifications

• Ten (10) plus years directly related maintenance management experience, or any combination of experience and training that demonstrates the ability to perform the key duties of this position
• Knowledge of plant equipment, operations, predictive/preventive maintenance systems and effective project management practices
• Ability to work in and maintain a highly functional team environment
• Ability to work well with all levels of internal management, staff and vendors
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Excellent organizational, prioritization, and time management skills
• Demonstrated organizational, budgeting and computer skills
• Ability to effectively troubleshoot machinery through the use of blue prints, P&ID schematics and root/cause failure analysis

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in wood products facilities
