Job summary

Micron Solutions in Fitchburg, MA is seeking a hands-on Inspection Team Lead to guide a small group of Quality Inspectors. You will perform incoming, in-process, first article, and final inspections, interpreting drawings and GD&T to ensure conformance and drive continuous improvement.

You will mentor staff, coordinate workloads, and support new product validations and audits while collaborating with Manufacturing and Engineering to resolve quality issues.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on mechanical inspection experience.
• Strong blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation skills.
• Hands-on experience using precision measurement and metrology equipment.
• Experience with CMMs, vision systems, optical comparators, and traditional inspection tools.
• Ability to train, mentor, and provide technical guidance to other inspectors.
• Knowledge of ISO 13485, FDA requirements, and GMP.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on incoming, in-process, first article, and final inspections.
• Provide day-to-day technical guidance and support to Quality Inspectors.
• Coordinate inspection priorities and workflow to meet production schedules.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and GD&T.
• Train and mentor inspectors on inspection methods and equipment.
• Review inspection results, DHRs, and quality documentation for accuracy.
