Job summary

Micron Solutions in Fitchburg, MA is seeking an experienced Inspection Team Lead to coordinate daily inspection activities and provide technical leadership to the inspection team. You will perform mechanical inspections and ensure production schedules, customer requirements, and quality objectives are achieved.

You will act as a technical resource for inspection methods, metrology, blueprint interpretation, GD&T, and quality documentation, and you may support the Quality Supervisor as needed to

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 5 years of mechanical inspection experience in a regulated manufacturing environment.
• Advanced proficiency in blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation.
• Strong hands-on experience using precision measurement and metrology equipment.
• Experience with CMMs, Vision Systems, Optical Comparators, and related inspection technologies.
• Experience reviewing Device History Records (DHRs) and quality documentation.
• Strong problem-solving, root cause analysis, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily inspection priorities and workflow to support production schedules and customer requirements.
• Provide technical guidance to Quality Inspectors on inspection methods and specifications.
• Serve as primary resource for inspection-related questions and quality concerns.
• Support training of inspectors on inspection equipment and quality system requirements.
• Promote a culture of quality, safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
• Act as liaison between Inspection, Manufacturing, Engineering and Quality teams for communication and issue resolution.
• Back up Quality Supervisor during periods of absence and assist with workflow coordination.
