Job summary

Tecan is seeking a Mechanical Inspection Lead in Morgan Hill, CA. You will lead Receiving Inspection, prioritize activities, and mentor inspectors to ensure parts meet drawings and specifications through detailed measurement and documentation.

Qualifications include 5+ years as a QA/QC Inspector, CMM experience, and GD&T knowledge. The role emphasizes accuracy, ownership, and cross-functional collaboration in a regulated manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Quality Assurance/Quality Control Inspector in manufacturing or medical device settings.
• 2+ years of CMM operation or programming experience preferred.
• Experience inspecting machined and precision-manufactured components.
• Ability to interpret drawings, inspection plans, and GD&T per ANSI Y14.5.

Responsibilities

• Support daily inspection activities, prioritizing inspections and part throughput.
• Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections to ensure compliance with drawings and specs.
• Follow established inspection procedures and quality processes.
• Document nonconformances and communicate MRB decisions.
• Mentor–train less experienced inspectors and provide technical guidance.
