Job summary

Tecan seeks a Mechanical Inspection Lead for the Morgan Hill, CA site. The role will steer the Receiving Inspection team’s daily priorities, oversee part throughput, and mentor inspectors on precision measurement methods.

Candidates should have extensive mechanical inspection experience, strong GD&T knowledge, and the ability to interpret drawings and quality plans. This on-site position offers a comprehensive benefits package and growth opportunities within a global leader.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of QA/QC inspector experience in manufacturing or medical device environments.
• Strong ability to interpret drawings, inspection plans and GD&T per ANSI Y14.5.
• Experience with precision measurement tools and CMM programming is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, and meticulous documentation.
• Ability to mentor others and work independently in a regulated setting.

Responsibilities

• Support daily inspection activities, prioritizing work and throughput.
• Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of mechanical components.
• Follow established inspection procedures and quality processes.
• Verify parts meet dimensional and visual inspection requirements.
• Perform measurements using CMM, calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Document nonconformances and MRB-relevant decisions clearly.
