Job summary

Trane Technologies in Carrollton, TX is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the mechanical design of CDU platforms and other data‑center thermal solutions. You will own architecture, drive the concept-to-manufacturing process, and collaborate with CFD/FEA and cross‑functional teams to deliver durable, cost‑effective products.

A BS in Mechanical Engineering and 10+ years’ experience are required. Experience with ASME piping and US data center standards, CAD tools (Creo/SolidWorks), and

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering and 10+ years in industrial mechanical design.
• Experience through full product lifecycle from concept to validation to commercialization.
• Deep ASME piping and US data center/industrial standards knowledge.
• Experience with HVAC, industrial equipment, or manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Own mechanical architecture for new CDU platforms and other thermal solutions.
• Establish CAD standards, drawing standards, BOM conventions, and design-review practices.
• Lead the mechanical design effort from concept through release to manufacturing.
• Coordinate with CFD/FEA, electrical, PLM, controls, and systems engineers.
• Support testing and validation activities and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Travel approximately 5–15%.
