Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer - HVAC Systems to lead complex design activities for Airside Data Center products (TCDC/VCDC). You will develop and document 2D/3D models, layouts, BOMs, and release documentation while collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve performance and manufacturability.

You should bring extensive CAD experience (AutoCAD/SolidWorks/Creo, etc.), a strong attention to detail, and the ability to travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Requires relevant technical training with 10 years of experience.
• Associate degree in mechanical, electrical, electronic design or related field.
• Experience with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo, Inventor, ProEngineer, or similar CAD tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead design activities for Airside Data Center TCDC and VCDC NPD projects, advancing new product development and margin expansion.
• Create and maintain complex 2D/3D models, drawings, BOMs, and related documentation for development programs.
• Collaborate with engineers to develop layouts, designs, prototype docs, validation docs, and product release docs.
• Provide advanced design support for new products and major enhancements, driving design standardization.
• Produce designs using CAD/PLM systems and ensure quality and consistency of deliverables.
• Lead design updates, engineering changes and documentation revisions across products.
