Job summary

L3Harris Technologies seeks a Lead, Composite Manufacturing Engineer for our new Advanced Manufacturing Facility in Huntsville, AL. You will guide composite fabrication and assembly, lead process improvements, and ensure safe, efficient operations for high-value aerospace hardware.

You will mentor engineers, develop documentation for processes and tooling, and coordinate transitions from other facilities. A strong background in GD&T, CAD, and Lean manufacturing is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 9+ years in composite engineering; an advanced degree lowers experience needs.
• Experience leading manufacturing projects, process improvements, and cost-saving initiatives.
• Strong GD&T, CAD modeling, and hands-on aerospace manufacturing knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead process improvements using Lean methods across Huntsville AMF-scale operations.
• Mentor engineers and oversee transition of programs to Huntsville facilities.
• Develop and document manufacturing processes, instructions, PFMEAs, and JSAs.
• Provide shop-floor guidance on composites, tooling, and equipment.
