Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Lead Mechanical Engineer in the United States to drive design, analysis, and optimization of gas power components. You will lead cross-functional teams across engineering, manufacturing, and sourcing to deliver robust hardware and guide product upgrades.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related STEM field.
• Minimum of 4 years of relevant engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Design & Analysis: Execute mechanical design and analysis (stress, modal, lifing) for assigned components in gas turbines, steam, generators, and accessory systems.
• Technical Stewardship: Take ownership of mechanical hardware; perform validation testing; evaluate designs for thermal growth, manufacturing variation, and stack-up.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with engineering experts, manufacturing, and sourcing teams to optimize sub-systems and components.
• Continuous Improvement: Lead RCA to improve reliability, quality, and yield; apply Lean principles to streamline processes.
• Project Delivery: Manage milestones through technical reviews; ensure compliance with NPI processes.
• Mentorship: Coach team members and engage with Principal and Chief Engineers.
