Job summary

Jobot is seeking a mid- to senior-level building design mechanical engineer with a PE to join our Colorado team in Littleton. The role focuses on design of building mechanical systems for large central plants, with leadership responsibilities and client coordination.

Responsibilities include engineering calculations, design packages, mentorship, and coordinating with project managers and consultants; on-site construction administration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Licensed Professional Engineer with 7+ years of design and construction administration experience.
• Proficient in Autodesk Revit for BIM.
• Strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Experience in infrastructure or MEP building design.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical systems for large central plants including boilers, chillers, cooling towers, pumps, large bore piping, and controls.
• Perform heat and mass balance, code compliance, hydraulic modeling, energy analysis, and pipe stress analysis.
• Provide technical direction and mentorship to engineers and designers.
• Prepare design packages with drawings, specifications, cost estimates, and narratives.
• Coordinate with project managers, other disciplines, and external consultants; participate in construction administration through site visits.
