Job summary

Tetra Tech, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Engineer, PE to join our Denver team. You will contribute to mechanical systems design for industrial, commercial, wastewater, and water facilities, including system expansions, replacements, and new construction.

Lead design efforts, perform HVAC and piping calculations, and develop construction documents with a focus on codes, LEED, and energy efficiency. Growth opportunities exist within a world-class engineering and consulting firm.

Qualifications

• 5 to 10 years in mechanical design for mechanical, plumbing and fire-protection systems.
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
• PE License required.
• Familiarity with building codes, ASHRAE, LEED.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical system designs from concept through construction with an EIT assistance.
• Perform HVAC load calculations, energy models, life cycle cost analyses, and ventilation calculations.
• Size equipment and develop layouts for HVAC and plumbing systems.
• Review and edit construction specifications using MasterSpec; participate in construction administration.
