Jobot, a national building design engineering firm, seeks a Mechanical Engineer in York, PA with building/infrastructure design experience. PE highly preferred. Design and mentor for central plants, boilers, chillers, and piping, coordinating with PMs and site teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Professional Engineer license with 7+ years of design and construction administration experience.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit for Building Information Modeling (BIM).

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical systems for large central cooling and heating plants, including boilers, chillers, cooling towers, pumps, large bore piping, and control systems.
• Perform engineering calculations such as heat and mass balance, code compliance analysis, hydraulic modeling, energy analysis, and pipe stress analysis.
• Provide technical direction, guidance, and mentorship to team members, including mechanical engineers and designers.
• Take initiative in completing design and analysis tasks for project submission packages, which include drawings, specifications, cost estimates, and design narratives.
• Collaborate with project managers, team members, other disciplines, and external consultants to address design coordination and issues.
• Participate in construction administration by attending meetings, reviewing shop drawings, conducting site visits, and documenting progress.
