Job summary

PAE seeks a Lead Mechanical Engineer in Denver to drive mechanical systems design from concept through construction. You will transition from doing design work to guiding project teams, providing technical direction, and mentoring others to ensure innovative and compliant HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Protection solutions.

You will apply building codes, perform calculations, review plans, and coordinate with other engineering disciplines to deliver integrated systems on complex projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
• 3–7 years mechanical design experience.
• EIT preferred or in training program.

Responsibilities

• Perform Revit/AutoCAD system engineering.
• Design mechanical layouts under lead engineer guidance.
• Apply codes and standards to design
• Conduct load calculations and equipment selection
• Read and edit specifications, develop discipline coordination
• Interact with clients and project team members
• Assist in cost estimation and site visits
• Support project quality management plan (QMP) implementation
• Learn and apply integration with other disciplines
