Job summary

Farason Corporation seeks a Senior Machine Design Engineer to lead the mechanical design and execution of custom automation systems and special machinery. You will develop machine concepts, perform engineering analyses, specify components, create detailed designs, and guide projects from concept through installation.

You will collaborate with customers, project managers, controls engineers, machine builders, and vendors to ensure successful outcomes and robust, cost-effective designs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience designing custom automation equipment, special machinery, or industrial systems.
• Advanced proficiency with SolidWorks and 3D CAD modeling.
• Experience generating production-level drawings and bills of materials (BOMs).
• Working knowledge of pneumatics and industrial automation systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design deliverables from concept through commissioning.
• Design custom automation equipment and review customer specifications.
• Collaborate with project managers, controls engineers, and vendors.
• Drive design standards, GD&T, and manufacturability.
• Support project documentation, BOMs, and ERP data.
