Job summary

Farason Corporation is seeking a motivated Support Engineer I to join our engineering team. This entry-level role is ideal for a candidate with an Associate Degree in Mechanical Design or related field.

You will assist with the design, documentation, procurement, assembly support, and implementation of custom automated machinery and robotic systems, gaining hands-on exposure to mechanical design, manufacturing, automation, and project execution.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in mechanical design or related field.
• SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD software proficiency.
• Understanding of engineering drawings and tolerancing practices.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills; teamwork-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Create and modify 3D models and assemblies in SolidWorks.
• Produce detailed manufacturing drawings with dimensions and tolerances.
• Assist in developing machine concepts and layouts to meet customer requirements.
• Support engineering calculations, cycle time studies and design documentation.
• Generate and maintain BOMs through the ERP system.
• Research and select commercially available machine components.
• Obtain vendor quotations and assist with procurement.
• Support machine startup, testing, and validation activities.
• Document engineering changes and update drawings as required.
