Job summary

engineeringjobs.net, Inc. is seeking a senior mechanical engineer to lead the design of custom automated machinery from concept to commissioning.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and customers to review and guide engineering work, with occasional on-site installation and commissioning support. The ideal candidate has a 5+ year background in mechanical engineering, strong CAD skills (SolidWorks, Creo, NX), and proven ability to mentor teammates while communicating effectively

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline, or an ABET/EAC-accredited associate plus relevant experience.
• At least five years of mechanical engineering experience.
• Strong CAD and machine-design skills with sound engineering judgment.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design of custom automated machinery from concept through detailed design, build, debugging and commissioning.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and customers to review and guide engineering work.
• Provide on-site installation and commissioning support as needed.

Job description

Lead mechanical design of custom automated machinery from concept through detailed design, build, debugging, and commissioning. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and customers, review and guide engineering work, and provide occasional on-site installation and commissioning support.

Requirements: Requires a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline, or an associate degree from an accredited ABET/EAC program combined with relevant experience, and at least five years of mechanical engineering experience. Candidates should have strong CAD and machine-design skills, sound engineering judgment, and effective communication abilities; automation, robotics, gripper, and servo-control experience is strongly preferred.
