Raytheon (RTX) seeks an expert controls systems engineer for the PCAS organization to support development, build, and verification of control actuation systems for air vehicles and missiles. The role may be stationed in Tucson or Huntsville, AZ, with the security clearance required prior to start date.

You will work autonomously with advanced knowledge of air vehicle dynamics, flight motor control, and test planning, contributing to high-fidelity models and verification efforts in a demanding

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in air vehicle or missile flight actuation control design and/or analysis, including control architecture design, and/or requirements development, and/or performance analysis.

Responsibilities

• Develop flight actuation control system architectures and implement advanced control laws to maximize performance.
• Design and execute hardware test plans and analyze results.
• Work autonomously with minimal supervision and adapt to program needs.
• Develop high fidelity motor and gear train models with nonlinearity and temperature dependencies.
• Anchor models and verify performance against requirements through simulations and tests.
