Job summary

RTX seeks an expert controls systems engineer for the Precision Control Actuation System (PCAS) to develop, build, and verify control actuation systems in Tucson, AZ or Huntsville, AL. You will design flight actuation control architectures and implement advanced control laws for high‑fidelity models and hardware tests.

You will work autonomously with oversight, applying expertise in air vehicle dynamics, sensors, and real‑time control, while collaborating with senior engineers and program leads

Qualifications

• STEM degree with 5+ years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with ≥3 years.
• Experience in air vehicle or missile actuation control design, requirements, and performance analysis.
• Background in control architectures and verification processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop flight actuation control system architectures and advanced control laws.
• Design hardware tests and execute verification against requirements.
• Analyze air performance simulations and model nonlinearity/temperature effects.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and communicate with leadership.
