Job summary

Raytheon seeks an expert controls systems engineer for the Precision Control Actuation System (PCAS) to support development, build, and verification of control actuation systems. The role requires strong background in air vehicle actuation control, MATLAB/Simulink, and the ability to work independently on complex aerospace projects. Location options include Tucson, AZ or Huntsville, AL with an onsite work model.

Active DoD Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship are required to begin.

Qualifications

• Requires STEM degree and 8+ years of relevant experience in actuation control design.
• 8+ years of experience in air vehicle or missile actuation control design, architecture, requirements, or performance analysis.

Responsibilities

• Develop flight actuation control system architectures and implement advanced control laws.
• Design hardware test plans and execute verification against requirements.
• Analyze air performance simulation and test results across ground and flight tests.
• Adapt responsibilities per program needs and organizer skill sets.
• Work autonomously with periodic oversight and communicate with senior leadership.
