Job summary

Facility Optimization Solutions LLC, a CannonDesign subsidiary, seeks a Mechanical Assessor to lead mechanical and plumbing condition assessments across healthcare, education, sports, public, and commercial sectors. You will document systems, identify deficiencies, and provide budgetary cost estimates while supporting junior staff and coordinating with clients.

Role includes on-site assessments, client interfaces, and collaboration with project managers.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 4 years of related experience required.
• Experience with mechanical systems to perform comprehensive evaluation of HVAC, plumbing and other building equipment.
• Direct experience in conducting facility condition assessments for mechanical and plumbing strongly preferred.
• Experience assessing healthcare and educational institutions strongly preferred.
• Prior cost estimating experience is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills and ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site facility condition assessments with multidisciplinary team, evaluating mechanical and plumbing systems.
• Maintain a typical daily walk rate from 100,000 to 225,000 sq ft per day.
• Determine condition, remaining useful life, costs and remedial measures.
• Identify and describe deficiencies and remediation solutions in technical detail.
