Job summary

Herc Rentals is seeking a Mechanic A to lead fleet maintenance at the Lebanon, TN branch. You will mentor lower-level mechanics, perform preventative maintenance, and ensure equipment remains on the rental ready line. Strong diagnostic and electrical/hydraulic skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ownership of basic hand and power tools.
• Ability to drive and operate multiple vehicle types.
• Mastery of Mechanic B/C tasks.
• Knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, propane and fuel systems.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools and fleet systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead preventative maintenance on all Herc-owned fleet at the branch.
• Operate and test equipment to meet quality standards.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs independently.
• Conduct oil changes, lubrication, tire replacements, and repairs.
• Diagnose engine, electrical, hydraulic, and fuel system issues.
• Review work orders and prepare repair logs.
