Job summary

BD in Texas seeks a Lead Tech Mechanical Engineer to provide technical support for the design and troubleshooting of automated manufacturing and packaging equipment, ensuring safety, quality, delivery, and cost metrics.

Responsibilities include hands-on development to improve high-speed equipment, troubleshooting/maintenance, and coordinating with production, engineering, quality, and maintenance teams. Ability to cover 2nd and 3rd shifts is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electronic Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of manufacturing experience in a highly automated environment.
• Experience with high-speed automated equipment and CAPA activities.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on development improvements to high-speed automated equipment for manufacturing of medical devices.
• Troubleshooting and maintenance of high-speed automated equipment.
• Use programming and troubleshooting to resolve issues and improve performance of automated machines.
• Follow safety procedures and address potential safety concerns, including PPE.
• Collaborate with BD production, engineering, quality, and maintenance teams to meet goals.
• Support CAPA activities to address systemic issues in manufacturing and quality systems.
• Ability to work on a flexible schedule and cover 2nd and 3rd shifts as needed.
