Job summary

FedEx is seeking a Maintenance Technician Specialist to support industrial maintenance of material handling systems. You will serve as subject matter expert, design and implement training, and mentor lower-level technicians across shifts.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required, related certificates or an associate degree preferred.
• Six years' experience, including four years in industrial maintenance of material handling.
• Strong knowledge in mechanical power transmission, electrical systems and PLC/controls.
• Proven ability to train and mentor technicians and collaborate with vendors.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on material handling systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical and PLC/controls faults.
• Interpret schematics and manuals to diagnose complex issues.
• Mentor junior technicians and design training programs.
• Develop scopes of work and lead small local projects.
• Utilize EAM software to document work and data.
• Maintain safety standards and participate in required trainings.
• Collaborate with engineers, vendors and operations across shifts.
