Job summary

Veolia is seeking a Lead to manage an hourly manufacturing team under supervision, training new and current staff, and ensuring production goals and safety standards are met. The role requires strong domain knowledge, the ability to mentor others, and coordination with the supervisor to maintain training programs.

Responsibilities include scheduling, material handling, cycle counting, and continuous process improvement, with potential overtime to keep lines running and ensure orders meet

Qualifications

• Ability to work under minimal supervision.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work at heights in a Swing-Reach truck and other types of forklifts.
• Demonstrates process knowledge and understanding of area specific equipment and operations.
• Most recent performance rating of Meets Expectations or above.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work overtime.
• Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Demonstrates a high level of operational understanding of work practices and technology.
• 2+ years of directly related on the job experience.
• Experience utilizing written documentation for training purposes.
• Proficient in Google Suite Applications, Gensuite, Maximo, and SAP.

Responsibilities

• Observe all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) rules and participate in meetings, investigations, and audits.
• Schedule personnel on the floor and direct daily work to meet specifications.
• Act as point of contact for cycle counting and materials ordering including SAP knowledge.
• Perform Material Handler assignments in addition to regular duties.
• Deliver training to new and existing team members.
• Review orders and implement schedules.
• Ensure raw materials are ordered on time.
• May require extended hours to keep lines running.
• Coordinate training needs with supervisor for consistency.
• Lead training initiatives and assist with audits of staff.
• Maintain a positive attitude and build teamwork.
• Review and update documentation.
• Escalate equipment/personnel issues to supervisor.
