Job summary

Veolia Water Technologies in Minnesota seeks a Lead for an hourly manufacturing team. You will supervise a shift, train staff, ensure safety, quality, and on-time production while applying SAP and other systems.

Responsibilities include coaching, scheduling, training audits, and escalating issues to improve line performance. Candidates should have manufacturing experience, ability to lift 50 lbs, and willingness to work overtime in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Requires ability to work with minimal supervision on a production floor.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and operate within height-restricted areas.
• Experience with SAP and Maximo is preferred for material & workflow management.
• Demonstrates strong communication and safety awareness in manufacturing.
• Prior performance rating of Meets Expectations or higher is desired.
• Overtime flexibility and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Observe EHS rules, participate in safety meetings, audits and investigations.
• Schedule floor personnel, assign tasks, and ensure order specifications are met.
• Serve as liaison for cycle counting; knowledge of SAP and material ordering.
• Perform Material Handler duties in addition to core responsibilities.
• Deliver training to new and existing team members per documentation.
• Review orders and implement production schedules.
• Ensure timely ordering of raw materials and maintain line readiness.
• Occasionally start 4 hours early or stay 4 hours late to keep lines running.
• Coordinate training needs with supervisor and drive program consistency.
• Lead training initiatives and assist with audits of staff.
• Maintain teamwork and escalate equipment/personnel issues promptly.
• Lead daily department meetings and drive actions to closure.
