Job summary

Veolia is seeking a Lead in Minnetonka to supervise an hourly manufacturing team, ensure safety and quality, and drive training initiatives. The role involves coordinating schedules, materials, and cycle counting, while maintaining production goals and a focus on continuous improvement.

Candidates should have manufacturing experience, strong communication, and the ability to work overtime. Proficiency with SAP, Maximo, and Google Suite is desirable; position is on-site in Minnesota.

Qualifications

• Ability to work under minimal supervision.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work at heights in a Swing-Reach truck and other forklifts.
• Demonstrates process knowledge and understanding of area specific equipment and operations.
• Demonstrates effective communication skills.
• Most recent performance rating of Meets Expectations or above.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work overtime.
• Ability to wear personal protective equipment, for example safety glasses, gloves, ear plugs, and safety shoes.

Responsibilities

• Observe all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) rules, including housekeeping practices; participate in EHS meetings, investigations, and audits.
• Schedule personnel on the floor and assign work; direct and assist employees in daily work to ensure products meet order specifications.
• Act as point of contact, or supporting role as needed, for cycle counting; including knowledge of SAP and ordering materials from warehouse and externally.
• Perform Material Handler assignments in addition to regular duties.
• Deliver training to new and existing team members according to training documentation.
• Reviews orders and implements schedules.
• Complete their standard work and ensure all raw materials are ordered on time.
• Coordinate training needs with the supervisor to ensure consistency in the training program.
• Lead training initiatives and assist with audits of current team members.
• Maintain a positive attitude and build teamwork.
