Job summary

Staples in Norcross, GA is hiring for a Lead Material Handling Equipment Operator to mentor new staff, fill in for supervisors, and safely move product with forklifts, cherry pickers, turrets, and electric pallet jacks in a fast-paced warehouse.

You’ll ensure a clean, safe workspace and follow strict safety procedures while supporting on-time delivery to customers and meeting Staples’ supply chain goals.

Qualifications

• 12+ months related experience in a warehouse environment; or any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience.
• Ability to pass a drug screen as legally permissible.
• Full-Time associates must be able to work additional hours beyond schedule; overtime may be required.
• Lift, push or pull equipment/merchandise weighing up to 100 pounds.
• Wear safety composite work shoes.
• Walk and stand 100% of the time.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and train new material handlers and fill in for supervisors as needed.
• Operate material handling equipment (forklifts, cherry pickers, turrets, electric pallet jacks) to move product within the warehouse.
• Maintain a safe and clean workspace and follow safety procedures.
• Support Staples Supply Chain in delivering to customers.
