Job summary

Crowley Maritime Corporation is seeking a senior Marine Engineer to lead the Engineering team in design development for mechanical and electrical systems on US-flagged vessels. You will deliver project management and technical guidance across a range of vessel design, construction, and modification projects.

The role requires a PE license (mechanical or naval architecture) and a strong track record in marine mechanical system design, with a minimum of 10 years in engineering and at least 3 years

Qualifications

• PE license is required for practice in marine engineering.
• Bachelor's degree in naval architecture, marine engineering or related field is required.
• Minimum 10+ years of engineering experience in marine environments; 3+ years in supervision.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Marine Engineering team, including performance management and resource planning.
• Set and maintain engineering standards, procedures, and tools for high-quality project execution.
• Provide technical leadership for marine projects, reviews, and deliverables.
• Review plans, drawings, specs, calculations, schedules, and budgets for accuracy and constructability.
• Manage multidisciplinary projects across scope, schedule, and stakeholder communication.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors, regulators, and classification societies to support approvals and objectives.
• Support proposal activities with technical input and scope guidance.
• Contribute to feasibility studies and operational evaluations for safe engineering solutions.
• Foster safety, quality, and regulatory compliance across all work.
