Job summary

Celestica is seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer – Heavy Equipment to design scalable, safe manufacturing processes for large, high‑voltage equipment. You will drive DFM/DFA feedback, lead PFMEA, and collaborate with Design and Quality teams to ensure smooth production launches and continuous improvement across heavy production environments.

The role requires 5–7+ years in similar settings, strong Lean/Six Sigma experience, and expertise with SolidWorks/Creo/Catia and CAD tools, plus

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
5–7+ years in heavy equipment manufacturing or similar.
Experience with PFMEA, Lean, Six Sigma.
Proficient in 3D CAD (SolidWorks/Creo/Catia) and CAD tools.

Responsibilities

Design manufacturing processes for heavy equipment production and high‑voltage assemblies.
Lead PFMEA activities and establish safety and quality protocols.
Create line layouts, workstation designs, and material flow plans.
Specify, procure, and commission heavy equipment (cranes, torque tools, AGVs).
Develop jigs, fixtures, lifting beams for safe handling of heavy components.
Advance automation and smart factory capabilities with data logging and end‑of‑line testing.
Collaborate with Design and Quality teams to optimize new product introductions.
Perform project management and process ownership in mid/high complexity environments.
Travel internationally as needed (up to 50%).
