Job summary

Edwards Vacuum is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Team Lead to guide a group of manufacturing engineers at Genesee. You will oversee transfers of high-precision machining, drive ramp-up plans, and ensure integration of equipment, processes and people to deliver operational excellence.

You will lead process improvements using lean principles, monitor KPIs, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet schedules, quality standards and safety regulations in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in manufacturing engineering with 1–3 years in leadership overseeing teams.
• Experience with high-precision machining (CNC, milling, turning).
• Experience with greenfield startups or large-scale transfers is desirable.
• Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt preferred) and process optimization.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of 10 manufacturing engineers.
• Oversee equipment and process transfers to Genesee site.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ramp production over 12 months.
• Develop and implement strategies for high-precision machining to hit targets.
• Drive continuous improvement using lean methods and monitor KPIs.
