Job summary

Panasonic Energy Corporation of North America (PECNA) seeks an experienced Manufacturing Engineer III to lead engineering activities on our high-volume lithium-ion battery lines in Sparks, NV. You will drive process improvements, troubleshoot complex equipment, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain world-class production.

Responsibilities include optimizing OEE, developing standard work, reviewing CAD drawings, and leading projects from concept to execution.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required or equivalent.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 5+ years engineering experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to train manufacturing operators on new or revised processes.

Responsibilities

  • Support manufacturing engineering to ensure world-class production runs smoothly and efficiently.
  • Provide on-floor troubleshooting for mechanical and electrical equipment.
  • Analyze production data to reduce defects on production equipment.
  • Optimize Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) to increase productivity.
  • Troubleshoot real-time production problems and reduce defects.
  • Monitor and audit manufacturing processes to meet specifications.
  • Lead engineers on complex troubleshooting projects and designs.
  • Review CAD/SolidWorks drawings and ensure accuracy.
  • Develop standard work instructions, SOPs, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Project manage rollout of permanent countermeasures into production lines.
  • Present equipment changes for CAPEX and Change Management approvals.
  • Implement and support manufacturing automation.
  • Collaborate with maintenance to develop permanent countermeasures to daily problems.
