Job summary

Panasonic Energy Corporation of North America (PECNA) is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the Manufacturing Engineering team at our Gigafactory operations. You will guide process development, equipment layouts, and optimization efforts for high-volume Li-ion battery production.

Ideal candidates bring 8+ years in engineering with 5+ years in leadership, strong analytical skills, and excellent communication in English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Materials, or related engineering field.
• MS or PhD in a related discipline preferred.
• 8+ years of engineering experience in manufacturing, product development, design, or related area.
• 5+ years of leadership experience.
• Strong analytical and decision-making abilities; able to influence others.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Manufacturing Engineering team and set overall direction.
• Oversee hiring, training, and performance evaluation.
• Develop and improve battery manufacturing processes; conduct research and design layouts.
• Plan measurement and control systems for manufacturing processes.
• Analyze procedures to reduce time and cost; ensure safety and quality.
